Roosevelt School

Principal's Message

From the Desk of the Principal

Hello and Welcome to Roosevelt School!

Roosevelt School is a kindergarten to sixth grade elementary school. Construction on Roosevelt School began in 1919 and has a long tradition of excellence. As one walks the halls of our building, it is evident that the staff and students hold a great deal of pride in their school. That pride extends beyond the walls of our school as well. A wonderful partnership between school and home exists where faculty and parents work together to provide an academically challenging curriculum supplemented by a myriad of experiences which includes field trips and assemblies for all of our children.

Roosevelt School programs include Art, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Integrated Media, Physical Education, STEAM experiences, World Language, CREATE, a robust WIN program, and English as a Second Language among many other exciting opportunities for the students. Each student in grades kindergarten through sixth grade is equipped with a Chromebook.

We aim to establish a comprehensive foundation for all students that enables each of them to achieve their maximum potential as responsible individuals and lifelong learners. We hold high expectations of attainable, individual achievement where students with diverse learning styles are confident in their ability to learn from their mistakes and experience success. Roosevelt School is a caring, safe, and positive environment that promotes self-esteem, self-respect, and consequently respect for others. We guide our students to do the right thing, especially when no one is looking.
